These amazing new blades, only just released, are able to replace HSS blades on modern Automatic machinery.

 

This is perhaps the most important change is sawing Carbon Steel tubes that has happened for many years.

The Features and benefits:

 

à Ferro Max Tube is suitable for cutting tubes with a wall thickness of less than 10% of the tube diameter.

à To avoid cold welding of the swarf into the gullet, the number of teeth in the cut should be less than 3.

à Due to the number of teeth and the tooth geometry, material deformation rarely occurs.

à Cuts very clean with high dimensional accuracy.

 

à Very long life compared with HSS Blades. Results over 80,000 cuts from one blade!

Is the TA single use Saw Blade concept correct and acceptable for our time?

 

We think the answer is yes, due to these 3 environmental issues.

 

1. The TA cold saw cuts 3 times faster than a conventional bandsaw blade, or HSS saw, thus 1 machine can produce the work of 3 machines, this means less waste material, less oil mist, and less space is required.

2. TA cold saw blades are thinner in the kerf, again this is less waste and thus less swarf, also better material utilisation.

3. The TA cold saw will outlast a conventional blade by up to 10 times, so the conventional blade would be reground 9 times. This service would require collection and delivery, and also grinding even with today’s sophisticated CNC grinders, there will be some variation in cutting performance.
